Invention of Lying - Not horrible, but not chin dropping funny.... still had its moments....

This is it - 50 years old, and the man still had the voice and moves... too bad he's gone... Good documentary

HIS last guitar player (Orianthi) is amazing. I have her new cd and not a filler on the thing and her and Steve Vai so an insturmenatal on her album.

Pandorum - wow, stay away. I'm a fan of Sci-fi stuff but this was just bad. I guess it was bad, come to think of it I can't say it was awful but it wasn't good.

just finished JOHN ADAMS. very nice mini-series from HBO and I'll never think of the beginning of our country the same again. very nicely done and the look of the movie on bluray was amazing.

    Re: Last movie you watched

I have to 2nd what steer said about The Hurt Locker and what starbuck said about the John Adams miniseries. Both are really great.

Starbuck...gotta disagree on Pandorum though. It was different, sure, but I didn't see that twist coming at the end and I'm not normally fooled by movie twists. I was entertained. I do think that they dragged it on a little bit, but that was my only complaint.

    Re: Last movie you watched

"The Wolfman" Went into this with high expectations and was a bit letdown . The movie wasn't bad mind you just not as good as I had hoped . The look of the wolfman was old school (Lon Chaney) , probably an homage . Plenty of disembowelments and heads loped off . Love story , betrayal , blood and a twist but it just didn't all come together for me . On a side note , a man came in w/ his maybe 10 yr old son and sat next to me . Not appropriate for young kids , rated R . That kid will be nightmaring tonite .
Life is a grindstone . Whether it grinds us down or polishes us up , depends on what we are made of .

    Crank - enjoyed it.

The Boys are Back - pretty strong and emotional movie.

    Jennifer's Body - decent.

Valentine's Day - A very good movie to take a member of the fairer sex to. Especially considering it is Valentine's Day. My prettier half seemed to really enjoy it. This movie had everybody and their d?mn uncle in it. Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, Peter Dempsey, Anne Hathaway, Topher Grace, George Lopez, and even more that I can't remember off the top of my head. I severely enjoyed based on Hathaway's character alone.

    Re: Last movie you watched

Perfect Getaway - 8.9/10 - A lot of twists and a lot better than I was expecting.

Surrogates - 9/10 - Great movie, watch it.

The Hurt Locker - 9.8/10 - Just a badass movie.

The Stepfather - 8/10 - Actually a pretty good movie, was expecting it to be the ordinary type horror movie with it's story, but a good watch.

Zombieland - 10/10 - I just loved this movie, it was pretty funny and sort of suspenseful.

Saw VI - 6/10 - Typical Saw movie, nothing really special.

Whip It - 7.5/10 - Not an 8, but still a pretty good movie, worth buying.

Night Train - 2.5/10 - I figured with the cast, it'd be somewhat okay, I was wrong. Don't watch it.

I'll be watching 'Couples Retreat', 'Law Abiding Citizen' and 'A Serious Man' tonight that I picked up..so probably will post on those later. FC in St. Paul(could be everywhere, idk) has 1 dollar, 1 night rentals on all movies now...new policy I think, been like that for 2 weeks and I've been watching movies like crazy...even keeping them 2 days, it's an extra buck on late fees, can't beat that.
